Introduction to Server Administration |
Most Enterprise grade applications support extensive capabilities that often demand specialized IT resources. With the appropriate talent being difficult to locate & retain, the costs in terms of retention and training go up, progressively increasing TCO of the application. I Collaborator SamePage design takes cognizance of resource crunch and the need for enhanced ROI. Every aspect of server management has been carefully considered for this. |
Administrative Roles |
I Collaborator SamePage provides a dual-hierarchy to distribute server management capability. A super administrator creates system administrators. Super administrator retains the total power whereas system administrators can manage the day-to-day functions such as adding users, assigning rights, creating Chinese Walls, etc. System administrators cannot carry out tasks that can jeopardize the enterprise – they cannot access to logs of communications, they cannot stop the service, etc. |
Group & User Management |
System Administrators create groups and assign rights, users can then be assigned to Groups. Corporate Governance considerations may require barring of communications between certain groups or users, and the System Administrator can create a Chinese Wall between these. |
Granular Rights Management |
User rights assignment is a very granular affair with I Collaborator SamePage. System Administrators can control everything from the file types to Chinese Walls and functional permissions. |
Data Silo |
The data silo in I Collaborator SamePage is critical to meet with regulatory compliance, and to the overall data-integrity of the enterprise. All data in this silo is encrypted and can be viewed only by the super administrator. This mitigates unauthorized administrative snooping or chances of accidental deletion. Data (voice and textual) can be customized to automatically archive to ILM archival systems. |
LDAP & User Directories |
I Collaborator SamePage come with its LDAP, but in the event the Enterprise wishes to use common login into systems and it has such user management and authentication system, I Collaborator SamePage can be integrated with most of these directories. |
Logging & Reporting |
All transcripts and logs are safely and conveniently stored. Administrators can access them for audits or for reporting to regulatory authorities. Third party reporting tools can be integrated. |
Version Upgrade Policy |
Applications need to be updated to keep up with business demands. Upgrading of client software is a menial task that takes much time and often upgrades take time due to resource crunch. I Collaborator SamePage incorporates automated client updates with no technical action at all on the part of the user. This reduces the TCO and clients are evenly updated as soon as they enter the system. |
Integration |
I Collaborator SamePage is a real-time collaboration and communication framework. Its modular and open architecture can allow for integration of most any application. Read more about the I Collaborator SamePage API Program. |
